Comedian Yadi Sembako Reported to the Police Regarding Allegations of Fraud and Embezzlement

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Yadi Sembako has been reported to the South Tangerang Police regarding allegations of fraud and embezzlement. This report was filed by Muhammad Adri Permana, a third-party vendor who claims to have been harmed in an event organized by Yadi Sembako's company on August 26, 2023.

"On September 12, 2023, we filed a report with the South Tangerang Police. Who was reported? Yadi, Suryadi. Who is Suryadi? That's Gus Anom," said Muhammad Adri Permana's legal representative, Muara Karta, in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/19/2023).

"What was reported? Sections 372 and 378, fraud and embezzlement, where he opened a check and an event that should have been paid for several hundred million was not paid," he added.

1. Chronology

Then, in the same opportunity, Muhammad Adri Permana revealed the chronology of events leading to this report. He said that an agreement to hold an event and a work contract had been made between his party and Yadi Sembako. The contract stated that payment must be made on the day before the event.

"At that time, it was agreed to carry out an activity, namely the launching of their company on August 26th, and we made a work contract agreement that payment would be made on the day before, and indeed he gave me a check on the 25th," he said.

"But when we checked on the 28th, the payment deadline, the check turned out to be empty, and their team promised. Almost every day, we tried to resolve this issue amicably, but with the predetermined deadline," he added.

Although repeated efforts have been made to resolve this issue amicably, Yadi Sembako has not provided any clarity to settle the payment.

"Finally, we took decisive action, which is the legal route because it is clearly stated in the contract that there would be no payment until August 28th. We have sent a summons. We have also given them a period of almost 3 weeks, which is almost a month," he said.

2. Losses of Hundreds of Millions

Adri said that his losses amounted to 198 million rupiah. Besides financial losses, Adri also felt disadvantaged in terms of trust from friends and business associates.

"The actual loss is 198 million, that's just the actual loss, which indeed in that event the entire vendor and event organizer were affected, but what about other losses we haven't calculated yet because there are material and immaterial losses here," he said.

"Because I also eventually faced a crisis of trust from friends, other vendors including my own team members are also affected up to now, it's like a loss for me, but the actual loss is 198 million," he concluded.
