Kapanlagi.com - The Complete Synopsis of the Anime Hajime no Ippo: Boxer no Kobushi tells the story of Ippo Makunouchi, a shy teenager who is often bullied, until he finds his fighting spirit through boxing.
Ippo Makunouchi is a high school student who lives with his mother in a simple inn and helps with household chores. He often becomes a victim of bullying by his peers, making him feel weak and powerless.
One day, while being bullied by the seaside, Ippo is rescued by Mamoru Takamura, a talented professional boxer from the Kamogawa gym. Takamura brings Ippo to the Kamogawa gym and shows him the punching bag, sparking Ippo's curiosity about strength.
Ippo manages to hit the punching bag with incredible force, surprising everyone at the gym. Takamura challenges Ippo to catch 10 falling leaves at once as a test of agility, which he eventually succeeds in after hard training, proving his talent in boxing jabs.
Coach Genji Kamogawa is initially skeptical of Ippo's spirit, but allows him to spar against Ichiro Miyata, a boxer of his age. Miyata dominates with his counter skills, causing Ippo to lose by KO even though he momentarily makes his opponent struggle to evade. This defeat actually ignites Ippo's determination to officially join as a beginner boxer at the Kamogawa gym.

Ippo undergoes intense training under Kamogawa's guidance, learning basic techniques like the Dempsey Roll from the fighting style of Jack Dempsey.
He befriends gym mates like Masaru Aoki and Tatsuya Kimura, and admires Takamura who is pursuing a world championship title. Eventually, Ippo makes his professional debut against a flyweight boxer, winning his first victory with the Gazelle Punch.
Ippo faces a series of tough opponents, including a rematch with Miyata that is filled with rivalry. He defeats boxers like Daisuke Miyata and climbs the ranks with his aggressive in-fighting style. Meanwhile, Takamura continues to dominate the middleweight class and is targeting the WBC title.

Ippo's relationship with Kumi Mashiba develops romantically, while his rivalry with Miyata culminates in a friendly match. Takamura faces international boxers like Bryan Hawk, showcasing his ferocity. Ippo continues to refine the Dempsey Roll and faces Mexican boxers like Gonzalez.
