Consequences of Intimate Photos with a Boy, Zahra Nur Finally Officially Expelled from JKT48

Kapanlagi.com - Zahra Nur, or commonly known as Ara, has finally been officially expelled from JKT48. The 8th generation idol who joined in 2019 was kicked out of the group due to the scandal of her photo with a man circulating on social media.

The news of Zahra Nur's expulsion was announced directly by JKT48. Through their official website, JKT48 announced that as of today, Wednesday (25/8/2021), Zahra has been officially expelled from the team. 

"Regarding Zahra Nur's photo circulating on social media a few days ago, the person involved has provided an explanation and clarification that does not match the truth to the management and fans. We deeply regret this situation," wrote the JKT48 management on their official website, Thursday (26/8/2021).

"After the discrepancy in the facts was known, the management has attempted to communicate with the person involved to seek clarification. After more than a week of trying to contact Zahra Nur, she did not show good faith to communicate and did not respond to the management's calls," they continued. 

1. All Activities Suspended

In the statement, the JKT48 team also mentioned the main reason why Zahra Nur was expelled because she had violated the management's rules. As many people already know, dating while being a member of JKT48 is strictly prohibited. 

In addition, since she has been officially expelled, all activities related to Ara JKT48 have been suspended, including several events, such as video calls with fans. 

"Due to violations of obligations and rules as a member, starting from today, she is no longer registered as a member of JKT48. Therefore, all of her activities are no longer associated with JKT48," she said. 

"Information regarding refunds for video calls with her will be announced later," she added. 

After officially becoming a former member, Zahra Nur's social media accounts were finally deactivated. Such as her Instagram account @jkt48.ara, her Twitter account @N_AraJKT48, and her TikTok account @ara.jkt48 have been deleted by the management.

Some time ago, Zahra caused a sensation among fans with a photo of her together with a man uploaded by an anonymous account. The photo certainly attracted a lot of attention and raised questions about Zahra's integrity as an Idol.

Being widely discussed, Zahra finally decided to clarify through her twitter account @N_AraJKT48. She confirmed that the photo in question was indeed her, but explained that her relationship with the boyband member was only as a friend.

"Regarding the photo that has been circulating since 2 days ago, I have been called by the management and have explained the situation. It is true that it is me in the photo. However, I do not have a close relationship with the boyband member in the photo. But I do know and befriend one of the boyband members who is not in the photo," Zahra wrote.

"At that time, I was near the place where they were doing their activities, met one of them, and took a photo. Actually, there were also other people at that place, not just the two of us. But there, I took a photo that triggered misunderstandings and speculations from many parties. This also inconvenienced the fans and other members. For that, I admit my mistake and sincerely apologize," she continued.
