Kapanlagi.com - For years, Angelina Sondakh was imprisoned for the corruption case of the Hambalang project. During that time, she had to miss the growth of Keanu Massaid, her son from her marriage to the late Adjie Massaid.
But until now, the woman who is familiarly called Angie still covers up who the mastermind of the corruption accusation against her is. To Rosiana Silalahi, Angie revealed her reasons through an exclusive broadcast on Kompas TV.

Rosiana Silalahi began her exclusive interview with Angelina Sondakh with a statement revealed by Angie's father. Rosi referred to him as Opa.
"'A big actor who led my daughter astray. Promoting my daughter, but instead leading my daughter astray,'. Opa himself did not mention it. Why didn't Angie mention it in court?" asked Rosi.
"I'm afraid. I'm still thinking that Keanu must be safe, opa oma must be safe. If I'm called a coward, I accept it," said Angie.

Angie hopes her son can live a normal life like other children. Even if she has to go to jail, it's okay as long as Keanu doesn't live in fear.
She feels that when the mastermind behind the Hambalang corruption is revealed, her son's safety may be at stake, and Angie doesn't want that to happen.

"Because I want to see Keanu grow up, normal. Without fear in Keanu too. I am a single parent, my brother passed away. So basically, I'm doing it alone. So I'm scared, miss. He means everything to me. I only have him," said Angie.

Angie can't just reveal what really happened, not even to Keanu. But she hopes that one day her son will believe that she is not as bad as people think she is.
"Maybe Keanu doesn't believe it either. That hurts me too. But I hope one day the truth will be revealed. Hopefully, if there is still a chance. I don't expect it," she continued.

Now Angie just wants the truth of the case to be revealed, without her having to say anything else. The only thing Angie hopes for is Keanu's trust.

"If one day it is revealed, I don't have any resentment towards anyone. I just want honesty for my child. I just want my child to believe in me," she continued while crying.

Angie doesn't even care what other people say. She thinks it's normal if the public doesn't believe her story, but she still hopes that Keanu can trust her.

"It's normal for others not to believe. Because they see me as a corruptor. But let my child love me, let my child accept me, let my child realize that I did my best for him," said Angie.

Rosi is curious why Angie is afraid that Keanu's safety will be threatened if she speaks up. But Angie says that it's just her own fear.
"I'm not saying this is a great power. This is fear, it's within me.," she replied.

However, Angie ensures that she did not commit the corruption alone. Because logically speaking, she would not be able to do it alone.
"No one can corrupt alone, who am I? I'm just a person who came from Manado, entered politics. Logically speaking, it doesn't make sense. But oh well, let's end the discussion. Is it important? It feels outdated, doesn't it?" said Angie.

Rosi is also curious why Angie chose to cover it up. Even though what she revealed should be for the sake of truth.
"Is there any truth in this world? Is there justice? That's a question for myself. I've been searching for it for years, counting the days, hoping that day would come. Until today, I have no hope of finding the truth," said Angie.
