Cynthiara Alona Cries Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison and Fined 200 Million Rupiah

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Cynthiara Alona is sentenced to six years in prison and fined Rp200 million or six months in prison in connection with the alleged case of child prostitution.

The demand was read by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) in a trial held at the Tangerang District Court on Wednesday (3/11/2021).

After hearing the demand from the JPU, Cynthiara Alona was shocked and cried. This was revealed by Halim Darmawan, the legal counsel for Abdul Ajiz, Alona's brother who was also involved in the case.

"She (Alona) cried, shocked when the demand was read yesterday," said Halim Darmawan when contacted on Thursday (4/11/2021).

1. Case of Child Prostitution

According to Halim, it is not only Alona who is sentenced to 6 years in prison, but the other two individuals involved in the case also face the same fate.

"They all received the same punishment. Sentenced to 6 years in prison and fined Rp 200 million or 6 months," he said.

As is known, Cynthiara Alona was arrested along with two other individuals, Abdul Ajiz and DA, in March 2021 for alleged involvement in child prostitution activities conducted at the Alona Hotel in the Ciledug area, Tangerang, Banten.

The three of them are charged under Article 88 in conjunction with Article 76 Letter I of Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
