Debut Acting in the Film 'MUSLIHAT', Tata Janeeta Feels Challenged

Kapanlagi.com - Known as a singer, Tata Janeeta is now trying a new world, acting. She will make her acting debut in a horror film titled MUSLIHAT which is produced by her husband, Raden Brotoseno. Tata Janeeta feels challenged for the first time diving into the acting world.

“Of course, I feel happy. This is my first feature film. When my husband said 'this is our project, we're making a film, you (have a role) in this', I felt challenged, from singing to acting. But this is my opportunity to explore the potential within myself,” said Tata Janeeta when met in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/1).

1. Initially Only Became a Soundtrack Filler

There is an interesting story before Tata Janeeta was decided to become one of the cast members of MUSLIHAT. Because initially Tata Janeeta was only going to be a soundtrack filler in this film. But it turns out there is a suitable role for her.

"Initially I was asked to make the OST (soundtrack) song, then (my husband) called me and said 'you're in the cast', oh my, but it turns out the character needed is close to me. So I ended up being in Muslihat," said the singer of Sang Penggoda.

2. Learned a Lot

Can try the world of acting and playing in a film. Tata Janeeta admitted that she learned a lot and had exciting experiences. Therefore, she tried to give her best acting for the film directed by Chairun Nissa.

"It turns out this film is very interesting, fun, not just singing and done. There are lessons that can become new knowledge for me. Here, I am very professional. When I finished making the OST, you got a role, I started reading, really practicing at home so that I can immerse myself in that role, become that character. Anyway, you will be surprised," she said while laughing.

"Yes, I practice at home all the time, in front of the mirror, delving into the role, because it is really different from Tata Janeta. I become someone else and I do something that is not me. It's really challenging but still a secret," she continued.

MUSLIHAT tells the story of an orphanage that is moved to a new place that is more suitable for the children to live in. However, unexpected mystical disturbances occur. This film, produced by IM PICTURES (Indonesia Maknakarya Pictures), also stars Asmara Abigail, Edward Akbar, Ence Bagus, Fatih Unru, Ajeng Giona, Jacqueline Immanuela, Keanu Azka, and many more.
