Dava is an alumni contestant of MasterChef Indonesia season 7. Born in 1999, he passed away at a young age of 24 years old.
The news of Dava's departure was announced directly through the Instagram account of MasterChef Indonesia. Through an instastory post, it was stated that Dava has passed away.
“We express our condolences, Muhamad Umair Dava MasterChef Indonesia Season 7. May the deceased's worship be accepted by Allah SWT and may the family left behind be given patience and strength,” wrote MasterChef Indonesia on Tuesday (5/12/2023).
Until now, there has been no definite confirmation regarding the cause of Dava's death. However, according to circulating rumors, Dava is suspected to have passed away due to gastric acid.
Meanwhile, chef Renatta Moeloek and chef Arnold Poernomo also expressed deep condolences as judges of MasterChef Indonesia.
"Rest in peace, thank you Dava for the joy you have brought while in the Gallery and wherever you are," wrote Arnold Poernomo.
Instagram account Dava was flooded with condolences and sympathy from the public who were shocked by the news of his death.
“Alm Dava is one of my favorites in the MCI gallery, I was shocked to read the news. Al-Fatihah for Dava,” wrote one netizen on Dava's Instagram account. His departure left deep sorrow for his family, fans, and those who knew him.
