Communication between Denada and Ressa Rizky Rosano has begun, although it is still limited to text messages. Ressa's side confirmed the existence of a WhatsApp message from Denada inviting to meet.
However, Ressa's response to the invitation seemed cold and cautious. Ressa admitted to having replied to the message, but she felt that Denada's way of inviting her to meet was not appropriate.

According to Ressa, if Denada truly intends to meet, the singer should be able to meet her directly without the need for small talk through text messages, considering Ressa's presence in Jakarta is already known to many people. She also challenged her mother to meet directly.
"The point is, surely Mbak Denada knows where Ressa is in Jakarta, so why not just come directly, why go through WhatsApp?" Ressa said when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Thursday (12/2/2026).
Ronald Armada, Ressa's legal counsel, added that his client had responded to Denada's message quite extensively. However, that response has not received a satisfactory reply.
This only makes Ressa doubt Denada's sincerity. "She just showed me that long chat reply. So I read that there is actually some awkwardness for her to start communication again," said Ronald.
Ressa's side challenges Denada to show her courage and sincerity by coming directly to meet them. Ronald is even ready to facilitate the meeting if Denada is willing to contact him.
"If Denada really wants to, then I will facilitate it, okay. I have no problem with that. But if we are the ones who are asked to take the initiative to meet and come to Denada, I have already said, I’m afraid we won’t be let in again," Ronald emphasized.
Until now, Ressa is still not used to calling Denada 'mother.' She still refers to the woman who gave birth to her as 'mbak,' which means older sister. Ressa also feels awkward around Denada, as they have lived like strangers for 24 years.
