Denny Sumargo Admits to Having Raised Chickens and Going Bankrupt, Reveals Discomfort in the Entertainment World

Kapanlagi.com - Starting out as a basketball player, the name Denny Sumargo began to be known in the entertainment world of the homeland. With a handsome face and an athletic body, it was certainly not difficult for him to pursue a career in the entertainment world.

However, little did anyone know that before becoming an artist, he used to be a chicken farmer. Unfortunately, the business failed and Denny had to experience a moment of bankruptcy.

He revealed this when he was a guest on Gilang Dirga's YouTube channel. It is known that Denny started the chicken farming business after retiring from the basketball world.

"The story of my career at that time was that I retired because I wanted to work in an office or do business. But neither of them worked, I went bankrupt. The chicken farming didn't work, it didn't sell," he said.

1. Offered to Act in a Film

Until finally, a production house offered him to act in a film. Denny accepted the offer while looking for funding. "I was bankrupt, then I looked for funding and a production house offered me a film," he added.

He honestly admitted that he initially felt uncomfortable in the entertainment world and had to accept the offer because there was no other choice. However, as time went by, he started to feel more comfortable with his new profession.

2. Uncomfortable

"Actually, I felt uncomfortable (acting in a film), initially I didn't really like entertainment, that's why I didn't run to it, just because of the circumstances," he said.

"So, I tried to slowly pursue it and for about 5 years, it was a struggle to find the enjoyment in it, like it wasn't my world. It turns out that if we learn to accept, then we can find the pleasure. Rejection is inevitable," he concluded.
