Designer Vera Anggraini Reveals the Preparation of Syifa Hadju's Wedding Kebaya

Syifa Hadju has officially married El Rumi at Hotel Raffles, South Jakarta, on Sunday (26/4/2026). In this sacred moment, Syifa fulfilled her long-held desire to wear a wedding dress designed by designer Vera Anggraini.

Vera revealed that Syifa herself specifically contacted her to create the wedding dress. Syifa admitted she was very touched to be able to use her favorite designer's services on her happy day.

"It was said to be a special request when she first contacted me, Syifa requested something special. Because she said she was touched and said 'my dream'. If she was to have one of her wedding events, she wanted to wear Ms. Vera's dress," said Vera Anggraini when met at Hotel Raffles, South Jakarta, on Sunday (26/04/2026).

"Then she said, I said 'What do you want, Syifa?' 'Yes, I want Ms. Vera's signature style. Then I trust Ms. Vera to make whatever for me' like that," she added.

The preparation process for this dress turned out to take quite a long time. Vera admitted that she had started communicating with Syifa more than six months before the wedding day took place.

"Actually, Syifa contacted me more than 6 months ago. But I only got inspiration for what would suit her around the end of December, so I could only start processing for Syifa then. So it's been 4 months now," said Vera.

Regarding the kebaya details, Vera chose a classic concept with a touch of pure white color. This aims to make the akad nikah ceremony feel more sacred for both brides.

"Eventually, I thought, 'Okay, let's go with something classic, and make it long.' I added details that might not be like what I usually do. This time I went with pure white so it looks more sacred. And then I added special details like crystals that match or pearls with a 3D effect," she explained.

In addition, Syifa also made a special request regarding the length of the kebaya train and the bridal veil she will be wearing. She wants to appear elegant in front of the invited guests.

"And yesterday she made a special request for a veil. A long veil. So for the kebaya, the train is maybe about 2 meters long, and for the veil, it's 1.5 meters. Because it just makes the look more elegant," she concluded.
