Despite Being Caught Up, Sandy Tumiwa Visits Rio Reifan to Support Drug Eradication

Indeed, in March 2019, Sandy Tumiwa was arrested in a hotel in South Jakarta by the Menteng Metro Police along with a man who is suspected to be his manager, Mikhael Angelio.

Certainly, this experience serves as the basis for his desire to fight against drugs, therefore the former husband of Tessa Kaunang wants to continue to rise from his dark past. Sandy's collaboration in the War On Drugs movement takes the form of his participation in the Short Film Festival from the National Narcotics Agency titled Heaven in the Palm of Father's Hand.

"In this regard, I welcome the Film Festival that will be held by the National Narcotics Agency," said Sandy in a press release received recently.

"Although the film is 7 minutes long, it will have a great influence in encouraging the public to take a stand against War On Drugs," he added.

1. Proven with the Combination of Organizations

Not only that, Sandy's action this time is also proven by his involvement in the Setya Kita Pancasila organization. The organization supports the 'War On Drugs' program.

Furthermore, Sandy's support in this matter is also evident when he visited Rio Reifan, who is a fellow artist, at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Detention Center recently. The visit is referred to as a sense of concern and friendship among fellow artists.

2. Hoping to Continue Creating

Sandi hopes that his fellow artists will be spared from the snare of drugs and can continue creating. Meanwhile, it is known that the relationship between Sandy and Rio Reifan was not good.

They were seen in conflict over Sandy Tumiwa's marital relationship with Henny Mona, who is Rio Reifan's ex-wife. However, up to this point, there have been no new developments in the case after Rio Reifan was arrested for the fourth time for drug charges on April 19, 2021.
