Despite Being Extendable, Police Say There Will Be Restorative Justice Efforts for the Assault Case Involving Putra Siregar and Rico Valentino

Kapanlagi.com - Celebrity influencer and owner of PS store, Putra Siregar, and artist Rico Valentino have been named suspects in an assault case against someone identified only as N in a cafe in the Senopati area of South Jakarta. The police have also detained Putra Siregar and Rico Valentino for 20 days in connection with the case.

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Budhi Herdi Susianto, explained that the detention of Putra Siregar and Rico Valentino could be extended if the investigation into the assault case is not yet complete.

"If the investigation process is not yet completed and the investigators still consider it necessary to detain, then the detention will be extended to the Prosecutor's Office for 40 days," said Budhi Herdi Susianto, when asked by the media on Monday (18/4).

Not only that, Budhi also did not deny that they will follow the restorative justice efforts in handling the assault case involving Putra and Rico. However, this restorative justice effort will only be carried out if there is an agreement between the two, Putra and Rico, with the victim.

"In accordance with the Indonesian National Police Regulation Number 8 of 2021 regarding Restorative Justice, which is our guideline. However, in restorative justice, of course, both the complainant and the accused must agree," said Budhi.

In addition, it was previously explained that Putra Siregar and Rico are suspected of assaulting MNA or N at a cafe in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on March 2, 2022.

3. Assault Occurred

This incident was triggered because one of Rico's female friends approached MNA's table. Based on CCTV footage at the cafe, Rico then came to MNA's table and an assault occurred, Putra Siregar then followed and also committed violence against the victim.

"Afterwards, suspect PS also joined in, kicking and pushing MNA," he said.
