Dewa Budjana Failed to Record in America Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic

Kapanlagi.com - Guitarist Dewa Budjana revealed that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he could not record in the United States for the production of an instrumental album in collaboration with world musicians, which he regularly does every two years.

"Every two years, I record there. Because I want to continue to create with them," Budjana said recently.

Although he couldn't go to America, Budjana didn't give up. He continued the collaboration in producing the instrumental album by utilizing technology. "Because of this situation, I have to record remotely," said Dewa Budjana.

1. Long Distance Recording

However, Budjana feels that long-distance recording is less interesting. Because he cannot interact directly with the musicians he collaborates with.

"That's what's missing, usually I just write the scores, anything can happen at that moment. But with this, I send the data and he works on it himself, so there is no interaction," he said.

2. Producing 3 Songs

From the long-distance recording, Budjana has produced three songs and the results will be released in early 2021.

"Three songs in collaboration with drummer Simon Phillips, and the bassist is Carlito. There are plans for two more songs with different players and they are planned to be released early next year," said Budjana.
