Kapanlagi.com - The name Melati Sesilia may still be unfamiliar to the general public. But her name is well-known among fans of JKT48. After graduating from JKT48, her career in the entertainment industry in Indonesia hit a dead end, so the 22-year-old decided to try her luck in the business world.
Melati then opened a Nasi Bakar store on the side of the road in the Johar Baru area of Central Jakarta. Although initially there were few buyers, thanks to TikTok, Melati Sesilia became viral as many people found out that she was a former member of JKT48.
When met at her store in Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, Melati Sesilia recently shared how she first joined JKT48. It turned out that because she was in love with her male friend, Melati decided to audition in the hope that the man she liked would notice her.
"My junior high school friend told me that I looked like one of the members, and asked me to audition. So I agreed to register because there was a guy I liked who liked JKT48 but didn't like me," said Melati Sesilia recently.
"So I thought if I auditioned, maybe he would notice me," she continued.

Fortunately, Melati's hopes were fulfilled. She finally managed to win the heart of her dream man.
"Yes (because of the guy), and then when I was still in the audition phase, for some reason he proposed to me. I hadn't even been accepted yet but I immediately said 'yes, I want to', he proposed to me," she said.

However, Melati also conveyed that their relationship did not last long. This is because when she successfully passed the JKT48 audition, their relationship had to end due to her busy schedule with JKT48.
"No, because JKT48 is not allowed to date, they are very busy, so he decided to break up with me," she concluded.
