Didi Kempot's Religion Questioned, Friend Provides Answer While Posting Deceased's ID Card Photo

Many still do not believe that the singer of Sewu Kutho is a Muslim. In order to clarify these misconceptions, Blontank Poer, one of the deceased's close friends, spoke up.

"It's truly sad to receive many phone calls asking about the deceased's religion. It's so ignorant for people to pry into someone's beliefs. It's not forbidden to pray for the good of someone who doesn't have a religion," wrote Blontank in a post on his personal Facebook account.

Blontank confirmed that the late Didi Kempot was a Muslim. He even shared a video of his friends reciting the tahlil prayer in front of the late Didi's grave.

"If Didi Kempot was not a Muslim, whose body was purified, wrapped in a shroud, and prayed for, how could his fans dare to lead the tahlil prayer at his grave?" Blontank added.

2. Share Didi Kempot's Original ID Card

Not only that, Blontank also shared a photo of Didi Kempot's original ID card to further clarify his point. In the picture, it is clearly stated that the Surakarta-born man is a Muslim.

"I really don't understand the religious behavior of those who pretend to be pious, even spreading the news of Didi's death wearing a suit. Hopefully, people like that will soon find guidance, so that their lives will be beneficial to many. Their deeds may not be better than the late Didi's. Sorry, a bit provocative!" Blontank concluded.
