Dinda Hauw & Rey Mbayang Once Kept Their Taaruf a Secret: 'Afraid Something Might Happen'

Kapanlagi.com - Shortly after getting married on July 10th, production house Falcon Pictures announced that Dinda Hauw and Rey Mbayang will be the main cast of the film CINTA SUBUH. Netizens then speculated that they were intentionally brought together because they were in the spotlight.

However, the reality is actually the opposite because Dinda and Rey only met when they were involved in this film by Indra Gunawan. It was only on their third meeting that Rey convinced himself to meet Dinda's parents with the intention of getting to know each other for the purpose of marriage.

"In essence, it was Falcon that brought me and Rey together. We also know each other since this film," said Dinda during a virtual press conference via Zoom on Wednesday (15/7/2020).

"The second meeting left a very good impression because we were asked to watch a film about marriage at Falcon. The third meeting was for taaruf," added Rey on the same occasion.

1. Confused When Reading

During the process of reading the script together with other actors, no one knew that Dinda Hauw and Rey Mbayang were in the process of taaruf, except for the casting team from Falcon Pictures. Fortunately, there were no acting exercises that required them to have physical contact because it was not allowed at that time.

"Before the reading, we didn't have anything. But one day before the reading, we informed the casting team that we were in the process of taaruf. It was confusing when we were about to do the reading because we were not supposed to meet too often," explained Dinda.

2. Intentionally Hidden

In the middle of the reading, the production house announced a two-week break because Dinda Hauw and Rey Mbayang, as the main actors, were getting married. Now, after getting married, they have to go back and continue the delayed process for shooting in August.

"We were really secretive, except to our closest friends. We were afraid that something might happen," said Rey.

"From the beginning of taaruf, we were really careful, afraid that there might be people who are unhappy or something like that," added Dinda.
