Doddy Sudrajat Will Rarely Attend Gala Sky's Guardianship Hearing, Here's the Lawyer's Explanation

Kapanlagi.com - The guardianship hearing for Gala Sky Andriansyah filed by Faisal was held again at the West Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (9/2/2022). The hearing was scheduled to hear testimonies from Faisal as the plaintiff.

Three witnesses were brought in, namely Marissya Icha, Ichsan Munthe, and Frans. In addition to testimonies, Faisal also provided several pieces of evidence in the form of certificates and administrative documents related to Gala.

1. Doddy Sudrajat Does Not Attend Hearing

In this continuation of the guardianship hearing, Doddy Sudrajat was visibly absent. Tegar Firmansyah, as the legal representative, stated that Doddy's absence as the defendant is not something to be questioned.

"Mr. Doddy has appointed us as his representatives, so there is no obligation for him to attend. He is in good health, still praying for Gala, still focused on earning a living," said Tegar after the trial.

2. Confirmed Will Not Attend Again

At the next hearing agenda, Doddy Sudrajat is confirmed not to attend. Because he has handed over everything to the legal counsel.

"(The next hearing) is impossible to attend because it has been entrusted to us. It's not a matter of busyness, because it has been entrusted so it is our right to have a hearing here. It's not a matter of wanting to attend or not," said Tegar firmly.

3. Judge Considers Testimony from the National Commission for Child Protection

At the next hearing agenda, which will be held on February 16, 2022, Faisal's party will bring in two expert witnesses in Islamic law. They will be brought from the State University of Jakarta and the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta.

Faisal plans to bring in the Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection, Arist Merdeka Sirait. However, the judge is still considering it.

"We also request permission from Your Honor to bring in the National Commission for Child Protection. In this case, there is Mr. Arist from the Commission. But it is still being considered by the judge. It is up to the panel of judges whether it is allowed or not," said Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno, Faisal's legal counsel, in a different interview.

4. Relocation of Vanessa Angel's Grave

In recent days, there has been news circulating that Doddy Sudrajat will relocate Vanessa Angel's grave. If there are no obstacles, the process will be carried out after the one hundredth day since her passing.

This news has also reached Faisal, her father-in-law. After discussing with his legal advisor, Sandy Arifin, Faisal has reached a decision.

"If it is in accordance with the applicable legal procedures and religious norms, then we cannot do anything about it," Faisal resignedly answered when met in Srengseng, West Jakarta, on Monday (7/2/2022).

5. Attempting to Preserve the Grave

Although accepting it, Faisal will not remain silent if Doddy Sudrajat's actions are deemed to be violations. Faisal will fight with all his might to ensure that Vanessa Angel's and Febri Andriansyah's graves remain in the same place.

"If it is not in accordance, we will try to hold on no matter what. I am trying to prevent it from being dismantled," said the father of three children firmly.
