Donation of Hazmat Clothes for Corona Virus Nurses at the Hospital, Rachel Vennya Criticized by Netizens for Allegedly Acknowledging Donations as Personal Money

1. Thought to Acknowledge Contributions

In a post on her Instagram story, Rachel admitted to buying a number of hazmat suits. In the post, she mentioned that these suits were her contribution to several hospitals.

"InshaAllah, these hazmat suits from me will be delivered tonight. Here is the list of hospitals that will receive the hazmat suits," she wrote, quoted from her Instagram story @rachelvennya, on Thursday (19/3/2020).

2. Bought with Personal Money

The post caused a misunderstanding among her followers. Many assumed that Rachel acknowledged the donations she raised as personal contributions. This also received criticism.

Many netizens felt unhappy about this. However, Rachel clarified that the money she used to buy the hazmat suits came from her personal funds.

"I'm really sorry for any misinformation, I didn't have any intentions because all the DMs were like this. But, the purchase of 1000 pieces of hazmat suits was from my personal funds. The donation funds will be updated soon," Rachel wrote.
