Don't Have Money, Ari Lasso and Andra Ramadhan Used to Only Eat Sugar

Kapanlagi.com - Decades of being together have created many unforgettable memories for Ari Lasso and Andra Ramadhan. They discussed their past, which Ari called 'Parah' (meaning extreme), in a video shown on YouTube Ari Lasso TV.

Andra was a guest on Ari's show this time. Amidst the corona pandemic, Andra went to Ari's house and followed strict health protocols before entering the studio.

"We immediately washed our hands and took a shower earlier. After being clean, we came here. And Andra has been staying at home all this time. So everything is guaranteed," Ari said at the beginning of the video.

1. Unforgettable Memories

Laughter filled Ari Lasso's studio throughout the making of this video. Amidst the laughter, videographer Ari suddenly asked about Andra's unforgettable memories with the vocalist.

"Back then, my motorcycle happened to be bigger than Andra's. During the early days of Dewa, he was still skinny. I always picked up Andra when he wanted to practice. There was a time when it was raining, Ndra, it was miserable. The box was blown away. That was the most memorable for me," said Ari.

2. Eating Sugar

But for Andra, what was memorable was when they were still new in Jakarta. It turns out they used to live together in a boarding house and one day their boarding house was locked by Dhani.

"What's memorable for me is when we were still living in the boarding house. Kodam. We didn't have money, we were hungry, we ate sugar," Andra recalled.

"We didn't have money, coincidentally our house was locked by Dhani, Dhani went out and locked it. We ate sugar, white sugar," replied Ari.

"Granulated sugar," said Andra.

"Granulated sugar, mixed with hot water, seriously, that's true. Those were tough times for us," added Ari while laughing.

3. Andra's Magical Mattress

In the boarding house they were staying at that time, Andra had a mattress called Ari 'Magical'. Because there were many mites on the mattress that made it itchy, but Andra never felt itchy.

"Others would immediately feel itchy when they sit there for a while. But not Andra," said Ari.

"I'm used to it (with the mites)," Andra replied while laughing.

4. Unforgettable Memories Together

Ari then reminisced about the time they lived together with Dewa band members at the beginning of their struggle in Jakarta. They used to live in a house with two rooms and one bathroom.

"When you really need to poop. Oh my," Ari recalled while laughing hysterically.

They reminisced about those times using a mix of Javanese and Indonesian languages. They often used Suroboyoan-style curses spontaneously, making the atmosphere more hilarious.
