Comedian Nopek Novian spent this year's Eid Al-Fitr with a lingering sense of grief. His mother, Mak Tinah, breathed her last on Thursday (20/4), a day before the first day of Eid Al-Fitr 1444H.
The news was conveyed by Nopek through his personal Instagram account, @nopeknovian. Mak Tinah was known to have been hospitalized before. Nopek bravely escorted his mother to her final resting place. During the Eid Al-Fitr moment, he also escorted his father to visit Mak Tinah's grave.
The mother of comedian Nopek Novian, Mak Tinah, was known to have been hospitalized for several days before passing away. In his post, Nopek encouraged his father and mother, Mak Tinah and Pak Pirno. Pak Pirno was seen faithfully accompanying his wife during her hospitalization.
A few days later, Nopek was left behind as his mother passed away forever. He shared the sad news through his social media account. "Goodbye Mak Tinah, may you rest in the best place in heaven," said Nopek. He was sad but also brave as he believed that Mak Tinah was now at peace with Allah.
Nopek once invited Mak Tinah to create content together. Both of them are known to be very close. In some social media posts, Nopek also included his mother as a topic of discussion.
Because of this closeness, Nopek feels very lost without the figure of Mak Tinah who always gave him encouragement.
With courage, Nopek also lifted the coffin carrying Mak Tinah's body to the cemetery.
Sometimes Nopek couldn't hold back his tears. He didn't expect his mother to return to the embrace of the Almighty a day before Eid (April 21st).
Nopek bid farewell to Mak Tinah until she was laid to rest.
This sad news was immediately flooded with condolences from netizens. Many prayed and called Mak Tinah's passing in the holy month.
Nopek, with his straightforward and candid style, posted a picture of himself riding on the back of Pak Pirno barefoot. After Mak Tinah's passing, Pak Pirno became his role model.
He accompanied Pak Pirno on a pilgrimage to Mak Tinah's grave on Eid day (April 22, 2023). Hopefully, Nopek and his family are given strength and endurance to get through this grieving period.
