Achmad Chalabi explained that the recommendation letter is a mandatory procedure for male prospective brides who will marry outside their domicile area. Considering that El Rumi, who is now 26 years old, resides in that area, the document processing is done there with the help of family representatives.

"There is none. It is related to the individual. So if the marriage recommendation is usually a requirement from the male side. Because L's domicile is in Pondok Pinang, according to the ID card. He processes it with other requirements according to the regulations, coming to KUA Kebayoran Lama with his family representative to take care of the marriage recommendation," the Head of KUA further explained.

Although the recommendation letter has been issued, the KUA (Office of Religious Affairs) admitted that it does not yet know exactly where the sacred ijab kabul (marriage vow) will take place. The authorities are only tasked with ensuring that the documents are complete according to the laws applicable in Indonesia so that the marriage ceremony is legally recognized by the state.
