Senior actress Elma Theana could not contain her sadness upon seeing her brother, Sonny Septian, become a victim of cruel divorce slander. As a mother figure to her younger siblings, the 51-year-old woman feels deeply affected by the numerous insults directed at Sonny on social media.

Elma revealed that initially, the family considered the gossip to be a normal occurrence in the entertainment world. However, the narrative became increasingly wild, even touching on insults regarding Sonny's physical and mental condition, which he is currently recovering from.

"As an older sister, I just complained to Ina and cried. Then I cried because I cannot accept that my brother is treated like this," said Elma Theana when met by KapanLagi in the Ciganjur area of South Jakarta on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Elma's frustration peaked when she learned that many netizens were deceived by the false news and began attacking Sonny personally. Various harsh comments that claimed her brother was clueless about his fortune, along with other slanderous accusations, greatly disturbed the inner peace of the entire extended family.

This case began with an old video clip of Fairuz A. Rafiq in court for another legal matter, but it was edited in such a way that it appeared she was dealing with a divorce. The use of manipulative narration made the public believe that their household was truly on the brink of collapse.

Elma regrets the attitude of those involved who show no empathy at all towards Sonny Septian's condition. For her, attacking someone who is trying to rise from a period of illness is an inhumane act and far beyond the bounds of reason.

"Because he wants to, you know, just recovering from illness, getting healthy, in recovery, wanting to grow, so it doesn't rule out the possibility that what I mentioned earlier, he might also be affected psychologically," explained Fairuz A. Rafiq's brother-in-law.
