Entering the Investigation Stage, Police Summon David Noah Regarding Alleged Embezzlement of Rp 1.1 Billion Funds

Kapanlagi.com - The Jakarta Metro Police have raised the status of the case of alleged fraud and embezzlement of money involving David Kurnia Albert Dorfel. The case of NOAH band's keyboardist is now in the investigation stage.

"We have raised it to the investigation stage, there is an alleged fraud and embezzlement, carried out by Mr. D and his friends based on a report from Ms. LY," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday (8/19/2021).

In this case, Yusri said that they have already examined the reporter on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Then, they examined two witnesses on Monday, August 16, 2021.

"On August 12, we have conducted an examination of the reporter. On the 16th, we also conducted an interview with two witnesses from the reporter," he said.

To expedite this case, Yusri's party has also scheduled an examination of David and two other respondents, namely Yudhi Sulistyonon and EAS. The three of them are scheduled to attend the examination at the Metro Jaya Regional Police on Friday, August 20, 2021.

"On August 20, 2021, at around 10 o'clock, we have invited interviews for the three respondents here, the first being Mr. D himself, then Mr. YS and Mr. EAS. Hopefully, they can come because it is still in the investigation stage," said Yusri.

After the examination agenda for the three respondents is realized, Yusri said that the police will then determine the next steps by conducting a case review.

"Slowly, while we see how the case is constructed, if everything is complete, we will conduct a case review to determine whether it is still under investigation or can be elevated to the level of investigation if it meets the elements of suspicion under articles 372 and 378. So, just wait, we will inform you later," he said.

The case began when David and his two friends asked for help from Lina Yunita as the reporter to fund the operational development project of a ship in their company, PT A, in 2019 worth Rp 1.150 billion. David and his two friends promised to return the money in 3-6 months with the guarantee of two cash checks.

However, David and his two friends were considered unfaithful to their promises. The money was not returned.

As a result, David and his two friends were reported to the Metro Jaya Police. The report against David was registered with Number: LP/B/3761/VII/2021/SPKT Metro Jaya Police, dated August 5, 2021. David and his friends were reported under Article 372 of the Criminal Code and Article 378 of the Criminal Code.
