Eril's Arrival at the Funeral Home is Welcomed by Drizzling Rain and Loud Sholawat

Kapanlagi.com - The eldest son of Ridwan Kamil, Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz has arrived at the funeral home in Gedung Pakuan, Bandung, West Java. Previously, Eril arrived in Indonesia around 3:25 PM at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, on Sunday (12/6). 

Shortly after his arrival, Ridwan Kamil led the funeral prayer procession at Soeta Airport with several other officials, such as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Tohir, before being sent to the funeral home in Bandung. 

Meanwhile, the condition at the funeral home itself has been crowded with mourners since Eril's arrival in Indonesia was announced. Even though it has been raining since afternoon, the mourners remain faithful and wait for the eldest son of the Governor of West Java to return home. 

1. Rained Upon

From the observation of the KapanLagi team who were at Gedung Pakuan, Bandung City, the rain subsided around 6:15 PM. However, shortly after, drizzling rain returned to pour over Bandung City. 

Several groups of officials began to arrive at Gedung Pakuan. In addition to officials, there were also groups of family members who had been waiting for Eril's body to arrive. 

A crowded condition was also seen in the courtyard of Gedung Pakuan. Residents, not only from Bandung, also came to pay their respects and wait for Eril's body to arrive at the funeral home. 

2. There Was a Problem

Eril's funeral procession departed from Soekarno Hatta Airport around 4 PM and is expected to arrive at the family's house at 6 PM. Unfortunately, during the journey, the procession experienced difficulties due to heavy traffic causing a traffic jam.

Around 7:45 PM, Eril's funeral procession could be heard from afar. The rain that had initially fallen began to subside along with the chanting of sholawat echoing in the Pakuan Building.

3. Arriving at the Funeral Home

Upon arriving at the Pakuan Building, Ridwan Kamil, who was inside the ambulance, took the time to greet the residents who came. He opened the window and waved his hand, as well as smiling at the residents and journalists.

After that, several other family groups and officials followed behind the ambulance. Eril's body was then taken out of the ambulance by at least 8 personnel.

During the procession into the funeral home, the accompanying sholawat continued to echo and became louder. The funeral prayer procession was led directly by Ridwan Kamil.

4. Swept Away by the Current

A little information, Emmeril Kahn Mumtadaz was reported missing after being swept away by the Aare River current in Bern, Switzerland on May 27, 2022. A search was conducted by the Swiss SAR team along the Aare River.

Ridwan Kamil immediately flew to Switzerland after hearing the news of his son's disappearance. There, the man known as Kang Emil helped search for Eril by following the Aare River.

Unfortunately, the search did not yield any results. After a week of searching, Ridwan Kamil and his family returned to Indonesia. The family has accepted Eril's passing. Before returning, Kang Emil recited the azan on the banks of the Aare River.

5. Body Found

After two weeks, Eril's body was finally found at the Engehalde dam in Bern, Switzerland on Wednesday (6/8/2022) local time. A teacher named Geraldine Beldi found Eril's body floating in the Engehalde dam.

Ridwan Kamil then immediately flew to Switzerland to pick up his son. There, he also bathed Eril's body, which was reported to be still intact and fragrant.

Today, Eril's body arrived in Indonesia and on Monday, June 13, 2022, Eril will be buried in a grave next to the Al Mumtadz mosque, which was designed by Ridwan Kamil himself for his son.
