The rumor of the separation of the couple who married on June 3, 2022, is heating up after a document from the South Jakarta District Court with the number 310/Pdt.P/2023/PN JKT.SEL went viral online.
The document shows the withdrawal of the petition submitted by both parties, triggering speculation that they had previously filed for divorce.
In response to the uproar, the spokesperson for the South Jakarta District Court, Rio Barten, provided a clear clarification to correct the misunderstandings occurring in the community.
"Well, as asked by the media colleagues, the case 310/Pdt.P/2023/PN JKT.SEL is a petition case, a petition for the registration of a marriage conducted outside the territory of Indonesia," explained Rio Barten when meeting with the media crew on Wednesday (20/8/2025).
"The focus of the application is on marriage registration, not on divorce," he added, emphasizing that the matter submitted is related to marriage administration, not separation.
"Regarding the reason (for the withdrawn application), we do not know further. However, based on the letter of application for withdrawal, that is what we are following up on," he said.
With the official statement from the South Jakarta District Court, the mystery regarding the viral court documents related to Eva Celia and Demas Narawangsa has been completely resolved.
