Kapanlagi.com - SOMEDAY WILL I BE THE GREATEST ALCHEMIST (IZURE SAIKYOU NO RENKINJUTSUSHI) is an anime adaptation of a novel by Kogitsunemaru. Studio Comet will officially produce the story into an anime series.

This anime will be directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya, who previously succeeded with other anime such as SAIYUKI GAIDEN, BIKKURIMAN 2000, and BIKINI WARRIORS. Mitsutaka Hirota will be responsible for the script.

Kogitsunemaru launched his novel on the AlphaPolis website in 2017. The following year, the site published the first volume of his novel with illustrations by Hitogome. The novel won the Reader Award at AlphaPolis's 10th Fantasy Shousetsu Award in 2017.

Takumi Iruma, an ordinary human who is not a hero, accidentally gets transported to another world. Instead, a goddess grants him the freedom to choose any power he desires. He chooses alchemy, hoping for a peaceful life without war.

It turns out that alchemy is a super powerful skill that allows him to create anything, from holy swords to airplanes. This skill makes him a wealthy trader and unbeatable in battle.
