Exciting Story of Acha Septriasa Filming a Movie in Sydney, Going Home on Foot

Filming abroad is certainly an unforgettable experience for many actors, including Acha Septriasa. However, there is one unique and enjoyable thing she experienced while shooting for her latest film AIR MATA MUALAF in Sydney, Australia. The filming location turned out to be very close to her residence.

This talented actress shared that the main filming location was on a major street that was just a stone's throw away from her home at the time. This gave her a luxury that few other actors experience: the ability to walk home after a long day of work.

"Interestingly, after shooting I could walk home. Because the shooting location was really close to my house on a major road, called Oxford Street. At that time, I was still living in Paddington," said Acha Septriasa at Plaza Senayan, Monday (27/10/2025).

This simple experience turned out to leave a deep impression on her. Even when offered a ride by the crew at night, Acha casually declined and chose to enjoy the city atmosphere while walking home.

"So, we finished shooting at 10 PM, 'Aca, how are you going home? Do you need a ride?' 'No, I'll just walk, Ma'am.' 'Are you sure at 10 PM?' 'It's safe, Ma'am, it's safe.' So it was fun because I could really feel what it's like to finish shooting and meet my husband and child, you know," she said.

The moment of being able to gather with family right after work brings its own happiness for her. The shooting process, which took place from September to the end of October, felt more enjoyable thanks to the proximity of the location to her home.

"It feels like going home, right? So it was really fun during that time from September to October. So in October, on the 28th, we had our last shoot, and it was interesting because Sydney has a lot of spots too," she concluded.
