Kapanlagi.com - Another Korean drama that will soon fill our days. HeartBeat, a fantasy genre drama starring Ok Taecyeon, Won Ji An, Park Kang Hyun and Yoon So Hee.

HeartBeat tells the story of Sun Woo Hyeol (Ok TaecYeon) who is half human and half vampire. He really wants to become a full human but he missed the opportunity that only comes once in a hundred years. Until one day he meets Joo In Hae (Won Ji An) and due to an incident, they end up living together.

A while ago, Kapanlagi Korea had the opportunity to interview the four main cast members of HeartBeat. Here are the results of the interview with Taecyeon and friends.

1. Create Ok TaecYeon

Kapanlagi: Here you play a character who is not an ordinary human, but also half a vampire. Is there a movie or series that you watched to delve into the character?

Taecyeon:
I also have references (movies or series) related to vampires. But for this drama, because I play a half-human half-vampire character, he can't fully use the power that brings out the comedy side of this character. But at least in the beginning, he becomes a vampire completely. So for his expression, I was inspired by Nosferatu, the TWILIGHT series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and others. But only the vampire part is important to the story. In addition, Woo Hyeol is someone who becomes human, so I refer more to the romantic comedy aspect than the vampire aspect.

2. Create Won Ji An

Kapanlagi:
Your character here is a cold but hardworking figure, is there any similarity between Joo In Hae's character and you or are you completely different?

Won Ji An:
In some ways, I found some similarities, but it depends on each situation. Basically, I don't feel too different from her (Joo In Hae).

3. Interview with Park Kang Hyun

Kapanlagi:
HeartBeat can be considered your first drama. What experiences did you gain during filming?

Park Kang Hyun:
For me, every experience felt new and I learned a lot. Until now, I have been mostly involved in musicals and performing on stage. But I learned that when there is a camera, there are limits to blocking and how I can act, and that requires certain skills. Thanks to my co-stars, I learned a lot.

4. Interview with Yoon So Hee

Kapanlagi:
You played two characters from different eras. How did you get into these characters at the same time and how did you make sure they looked different?

Yoon So Hee:
When playing two different characters, fortunately, they each come from different times, so there are many things that helped me. I can say that what I had to do was to be faithful to the script, and when I was able to do that, it didn't feel as difficult as it seemed, because there were already many things that needed to be expressed outwardly. So when playing the character of Hae Won (the character in the present), I focused on her tone of voice and way of speaking.

5. Was there a memorable or funny experience during filming?

Taecyeon:
There were many scenes that made us have fun and laugh together, but for me, it was the scene where I had to fly high in the sky that required wire action. I'm actually afraid of heights, so I was already scared, especially since I had to carry So Hee in my arms. And it was really high. So I was scared, but I had to pretend, you know, in front of the camera and had to act. So in that scene, you can see me pretending not to be scared.

6. HeartBeat starts airing on June 26, 2023 and can be watched on Prime Video.
