Kapanlagi.com - After being busy with soap opera stripping activities, Haico Van Der Veken returns to film. This time in a film titled NONA MANIS SAYANGE which was entirely shot in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.
In the film directed by Hestu Saputra and Rengga Indrayana, Haico plays a native woman from Labuan Bajo named Sika. To bring her character to life, she learned the local language directly from the locals.
"This film challenged me to become a Bajo person while I had no experience at all. So I learned how their accent and dialect are from the locals. I even learned to speak in Bajo dialect off-camera," said Haico, met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (27/7/2023).

Another exciting experience that Haico Van Der Veken felt during filming in Labuan Bajo was the scorching heat. To the point that her face grew a lot of acne.
"When I arrived at the shooting location, it was so beautiful. But it was hot there, the sun felt like it was right above my head. So I had to adapt to the weather. My face broke out, got pimples. That's always what happens when traveling, you have to adapt to new places," added Haico.

NONA MANIS SAYANGE has been in the filming process since last September. Currently, the film is in the post-production stage for release in the near future.
