Expert Witness Benefits Haji Faisal's Side, Doddy's Side Insists on Gala's Maternal Lineage

Kapanlagi.com - The continuation of the guardianship hearing for Vanessa Angel and Bibi Andriansyah's child, Gala Sky, was held again at the West Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (2/3/2022).

This hearing's agenda is to hear expert testimonies from H. Faisal's side, namely Dr. Nurul Ilfan from UIN and Dr. Arofah Windiani, SH, MH from UMJ.

In her testimony, Dr. Arofah stated that H. Faisal is entitled to guardianship of Gala Sky.

1. Highlighting the Birth Certificate

"In this situation, based on legal facts, the father's name is written on the birth certificate, which administratively affirms that the child belongs to the concerned individual, even if the father and mother are absent. Therefore, the responsibility for guardianship and upbringing lies with Mr. Faisal," said Dr. Arofah after the hearing.

Meanwhile, Doddy Soedrajat's party, represented by his lawyer, Tegar, SH, calmly responded to the favorable testimony of H. Faisal's expert.

2. Prepare Expert Witnesses

According to Tegar, expert testimony is based on knowledge. However, his side has also prepared expert witnesses and evidence that benefit his client.

"As long as it can be proven with their expertise, we agree. But we have arguments and evidence that determine that Gala is descended from his mother, and we will prove it in court.

3. Difference of Opinion

There will definitely be differences of opinion among expert witnesses based on their expertise, and we will also present that in court," he said.

The next hearing is scheduled for March 9th, with the agenda of hearing testimony from the defendant's side.

4. Next Hearing Agenda

"For the next hearing, the agenda is the factual witnesses from the defendant's side, namely Mr. Doddy. InshaAllah, Mr. Doddy will be present because he is part of the defendant's evidence, inshaAllah Mr. Doddy will be present. As for the expert witnesses, we will present them on March 16th," said Tegar.
