Explore Roles in the Film '13 BOM DI JAKARTA', Ganindra Bimo Practices Military Discipline When Handling Weapons

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Ganindra Bimo feels something different when starring in the latest film from Visinema Picture titled 13 BOM JAKARTA. Not only the difference in characters, but the emotions and the way of delivering the message from the character Emil in this film are also quite different.

"What's different is the clear difference in character. If the character is different from the previous project, the way we deliver it and the emotions will also be different," said Ganindra Bimo when visiting the KapanLagi.com office, on Sunday (4/12/2023).

1. Befriending Weapons

Then the most prominent difference from the movie 13 BOM JAKARTA is that they are required to be able to hold and use real weapons or pistols containing bullets.

"Another very contrasting difference is the practical effects. So, in the past, even when I was shooting every day, befriending a weapon felt very different from this character," he said.

2. Military Training

Not only that, Andrea Dian's husband also admitted to having the opportunity to undergo military training at the Army Military Police Battalion or Yon Pomad. This three-day boot camp is part of character development and workshops for the movie 13 BOM JAKARTA.

"Because this character is equipped with the knowledge of handling real weapons and we have to hold the weapons every day. So, I was given a workshop on how to handle weapons with military discipline. Even though the character has no connection with the military," he said.

3. Andrea Dian Must 'Sacrifice'

The 36-year-old actor did everything wholeheartedly to portray the character of Emil in the film, especially in handling and using weapons. Ganindra Bimo admitted that his attention was more focused on his wife, Andrea Dian, due to his discipline.

"But the discipline towards the weapon, the safety measures, knowing how to handle the weapon, what to do when it's sore. During the 41 days of shooting, the team lent me a dummy. So, the weapon that I used during the workshop was more disciplined than Andrea, my first wife," he added.

The film 13 BOM JAKARTA directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko will be released in theaters on December 28, 2023. Besides Ganindra Bimo, several famous actors and actresses are also involved in this film, such as Chicco Kurniawan, Niken Anjani, Ardhito Pramono, Lutesha, Rio Dewanto, Putri Ayudya, and many others.
