The wedding event of Firtz Hutapea and Chen Giovani began with a sangjit ceremony held at a luxurious hotel in Bali. In this event, Hotman followed the Chinese tradition from the bride's side.

In this Chinese engagement ceremony, Hotman and his wife followed the series of events from the bride's side. Although he is a Batak, Hotman still followed the process until it finished.

When proposing to Chen as his daughter-in-law, Hotman gave a dowry worth hundreds of millions to the bride's family. He also gave a large diamond necklace to the prospective daughter-in-law.

Hotman admitted that he was stressed because at Fritz's wedding, 2000 people were invited. It could be that twice as many people will come, so he has to be prepared to accommodate more people.This is Hotman's first son-in-law event.
