He gained widespread recognition when his son, Taqy Malik, married Salmafina, the daughter of a famous lawyer, Sunan Kalijaga, in 2017, which did not last long. He then defended his son during the turmoil with Salmafina in the divorce process.

The man born in Balikpapan suddenly became the center of public attention after the emergence of a woman named Marlina who claimed to be married to him with betel leaves. Not coming with pleasant news, Marlina claimed to be a victim of deviant sexual behavior by Mansyardin.

Previously, Marlina said that they both knew each other through Instagram. Their relationship continued when Mansyardin asked for Marlina's phone number, who was an adult model at the time. After meeting twice, Mansyardin then invited Marlina to engage in taaruf and married her on July 19, 2021, exactly one day before the celebration of Eid al-Adha.

However, after getting married, Mansyardin never introduced Marlina to his family, which prompted Marlina to speak out about her husband's betel behavior to the public.

A surprising revelation was made by Marlina, the woman he married through a traditional ceremony, who admitted that she agreed to marry because Mansyardin had already divorced Nurbaity at that time and promised to teach Marlina about religion.

After Marlina made her confession and held a press conference in the Senopati area, South Jakarta last week, it was Mansyardin's turn, along with his lawyer, to speak up about the issues surrounding him.

Through his lawyer, Mansyardin denied committing any sexual misconduct against Marlina. He also added that Mansyardin Malik had divorced Marlina since September 6, 2021.

The divorce was pronounced to Marlina orally and will be followed up with a written letter to Marlina. The lawyer stated that Mansyardin is currently preparing the divorce documents for Marlina.
