Failed Mediation, Gala Sky's Guardianship Rights Still Unclear

Kapanlagi.com - The West Jakarta Religious Court's efforts to reconcile the dispute between Doddy Sudrajat and H. Faisal regarding their grandchild's guardianship rights, Gala Sky Andraiansyah, have failed.

The mediation did not reach an agreement between the two parties. Therefore, the Court will proceed with the case of the custody battle over the late Vanessa Angel and Bibi Andriansyah's child.

"Mediation has been conducted with a mediator. However, no agreement was reached in the mediation, and the case will proceed to the main issue," said Tegar Firmansyah, Doddy Sudrajat's legal representative at the West Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (1/12/2022).

1. Still Open the Door of Peace

Although mediation in court failed, H. Faisal's party said they are still open to peaceful resolution outside of court so that the issue can be resolved in a familial manner.

"We still open peace outside of court. If mediation officially fails, we make a peace agreement outside of the trial while the trial continues," said H. Faisal's legal representative, Wijayono Hadisukrisno.

"We want this issue to be resolved in a familial manner. We do not want it to drag on. Yes, we think about the interests of our grandchildren in the future. If it can be resolved in a familial manner, it would be better," added H. Faisal.

2. Not in the Form of a Meeting

The peace outside of court will not be in the form of a meeting between H. Faisal and Doddy Sudrajat. Instead, it will be through correspondence to reach an agreement.

"The plan is through correspondence. For example, if an agreement is not reached, the judge will decide who is suitable to take care of Gala's guardianship," said Tegar Firmansyah.
