Feby Febiola's Confession: Scared to Death When Having Surgery

"When I first found out that there was a mass in my right ovary and had to undergo surgery, I was scared to death. I tried to calm my heart and mind by diverting my thoughts with music, songs, movies, positive thoughts," Feby recalled in the caption of her photo post.

Various efforts were made by Feby to eliminate the fears in her mind. Unfortunately, the efforts of Franky Sihombing's wife did not yield results.

"And... none of it worked. I still feel scared, have trouble sleeping, all the bad thoughts are in my mind, from getting sick to death, constant anxiety. I tried to calm myself with all the self-soothing techniques taught by YouTube, Google, but it didn't work either," she continued.

In the midst of her anxiety, Feby then remembered her childhood. More precisely, she remembers how her parents always tried to calm her when she was facing fear.

"Until I remembered, when we were little, we were very scared of the dentist, every time we had a tooth extraction, we would cry in fear. But there was one thing that made us calm, the faces of our parents. When our parents were there, we felt calm and comfortable, because we believed when they said, 'Don't worry, it won't hurt, after this we'll buy you ice cream'. They offered us peace and even a reward if we were willing to go through a process that we considered to be suffering," she continued.

Feby also remembers that the human life path is determined by God. From there, she feels calmer and braver to undergo the operation until she can recover.

"The same goes for me, there is nothing that calms my heart more than when I look at God's face, I know that my life is in His hands, I know that I can go through all the suffering not alone, He guarantees my life and safety. And I immediately feel calm, so the operation goes smoothly. Even the recovery also goes smoothly. Until today," added Feby.

Every human being must have faced heavy problems. And at the end of her post, Feby gives an inspirational and positive message to her followers regarding this matter.

"For those of you who are facing suffering or anything, don't look at your problems, but look at who you are walking with. Because the LORD Himself will walk in front of you, He Himself will accompany you, He will not let you be and will not leave you; do not be afraid and do not be discouraged," Feby concluded.

During the treatment, Feby felt lucky because her husband, Franky, always faithfully accompanied her. In fact, Petra Sihombing's father was willing to cut his hair to match his wife's as a form of support.

"So, the story is that I have to go through 6 sessions of chemotherapy, my hair is starting to fall out, so I just shaved it off. I will tell you everything later, I promise," Feby wrote in another post.
