Feni Rose's Daughter, Audi Karina Re-releases Nike Ardilla's Song 'Seberkas Sinar'

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Audi Karina, daughter of presenter Feni Rose, re-releases the song 'Seberkas Sinar' by the late Deddy Dores popularized by Nike Ardilla. Audi revealed her reasons for singing 'Seberkas Sinar' again. According to Audi, 'Seberkas Sinar' is one of Nike Ardilla's songs that has a strong emotional connection with her.

"Because this is one of Nike Ardilla's songs that I am really connected to, and this song reminds me of other songs that I also like, like Scorpion's songs. Yeah, I think this is the song that should be, and I am really connected to the meaning of the song," said Audi Karina in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday (22/7/2024).

Feni Rose added that the purpose of this re-release is to introduce the younger generation, including Audi, to legendary rock singers in Indonesia.

"So, the purpose is because she is still a very young generation, so I intentionally introduce some rock singers, especially lady rockers in Indonesia," she said.

"So that Audi, as the younger generation, also knows her seniors and the hit rock songs in the country," she continued.

1. There is a Special Burden

Audi admits that there is a special burden when singing the song that brought Nike Ardilla to the peak of popularity. Moreover, Nike still has fanatic fans even though she passed away in 1995.

"There is definitely a burden because she is a legendary lady rocker and she has many fans, so I want to respect her work and make the song unique according to my vocal style," said Audi.

2. Full Support from the Mother

As a mother, Feni Rose tries to give full support to Audi. Feni realized Audi's musical talent since she was a child, so she provided various vocal lessons to her daughter. Audi grew up to become a singer and started practicing writing her own songs.

"The motivation is also because Audi is a young person, so let's appreciate rock singers from the past like Nike Ardilla. So that Audi also remembers her musical roots," said Feni Rose.

3. Choosing Rock Music Wisely

After exploring the music industry, this singer, born in 2006, decided to choose rock music as her genre. The song Seberkas Sinar is Audi's first Indonesian-language single released after previously releasing English-language songs.

"I am determined in choosing rock music. Besides Scorpions, my references include Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and Nirvana. Music is a way to express myself, and from there I like to write songs based on my experiences as a listener and singer," Audi concluded.
