Kapanlagi.com - As the only son, Kabay Anaking Maryadi or Abay holds a special place in the heart of Ferry Maryadi. The father has even prepared an inheritance in the form of his beloved motorcycle collection for Abay in the future.
"Abay has been asking for a motorcycle since he was 7 years old, but we haven't given him one yet. We're afraid that if he becomes really good, he'll ride on the road. That can be dangerous," Ferry said when met in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, some time ago.
Even so, Ferry has started teaching Abay to recognize motorcycles. "I tried to teach him to use a motorcycle with a clutch. So that later, if there is a fortune, my motorcycle can be used by Abay, but only after he is of age, once he has a driver's license," he explained.
Abay himself admitted to being enthusiastic even though he is not yet fully skilled. "He hasn't started yet, because his legs can't reach the pedals," said Ferry jokingly.
At this age of 10, Ferry and Deswita hope Abay grows up to be a pious child who can conduct himself well. "Their biggest prayer is that Abay can become a person who is beneficial to many and maintain his dignity. He is the only boy, hopefully he can be his father's successor," concluded Deswita.
Let us say amen to their prayers for Abay, if not now, then when?
