First in Indonesia! Kapanlagi Buka Bareng First Edition Successfully Held, Accompanying KLovers to Break Fasting throughout Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - The first online iftar event in Indonesia, KapanLagi Buka Bareng, was successfully held on Saturday (25/4). In this event organized by KapanLagi Youniverse (KLY), netizens from various cities could digitally interact with celebrity chefs, artists, and famous musicians from the country. This digital event is planned to be held every weekend during Ramadan. 

In this first edition, KLY presented Endah N Rhesa, Rendy Pandugo, Chef Nicky Tirta, Luna Maya, and Revalina S Temat. They took turns greeting netizens from 2 PM (WIB) through live streaming and also meet & greet via the zoom application. The combination of entertainment and warm conversations with these celebrities became a sweet treat while waiting for iftar.

1. First Experience for Endah N Rhesa

At exactly 2 PM, the musician duo and couple Endah N Rhesa greeted from their music studio. In casual outfits, they played hit songs like Liburan Indie and their iconic song, When You Love Someone.

Not only did they perform their songs, Endah N Rhesa also entertained with casual and light conversation to create a warmer atmosphere. "This is our first time participating in Kapanlagi Buka Bareng. This is the first online breaking of fast event in Indonesia, those of you at home should join because we will accompany your ngabuburit (waiting to break fast)," said Endah. "Yes, hopefully our songs can accompany you while filling the time waiting to break fast," added Rhesa Aditya.

This appearance in KapanLagi Buka Bareng also holds a special impression for both of them. Besides being productive during fasting, this performance becomes their own entertainment in the midst of the pandemic and the #stayathome period.

"It's truly enjoyable to perform ngabuburit in Kapan Lagi Buka Bareng! Activities like this make us happy, being able to wait for breaking fast together with all friends who are watching. Hopefully this Ramadan brings blessings and Kapan Lagi can create quality programs that entertain hearts during this pandemic," they prayed.

2. Rendy Considers Opening Together Online as a New Experience for Netizens

Delivering 8 songs from his two Extended Plays, Rendy creates a serene and romantic ngabuburit atmosphere. He alternates between accompanying his singing with guitar strumming and keyboard playing. In between his performance, Rendy answers netizens' questions and shares stories about his busy schedule, especially during this corona pandemic. 

"I am becoming more productive, able to maximize my own work flow. I can do my own vocals. It also doesn't take away time for family. I am becoming more flexible with my working hours," said Rendy. He also starts the Lockdown Session segment on Instagram as his own show with other guest musicians every week. 

For Rendy, performing from home like this reduces his preparation time, which usually takes 2-3 hours. More than that, he sees the concept of live streaming from home like this can bring a new experience for netizens. "Stage, have to leave the house, prepare for 2 - 3 hours more. If at home, just one hour is enough, relax and take a shower. Meanwhile, the audience has a new experience, can lie down, snack, accompanied by their closest family," said Rendy.

He closed his performance with the song Silver Rain and thanked everyone and expressed his hope. "Thank you very much for inviting me to Kapan Lagi Buka bareng. I'm very happy to entertain friends who are at home during ngabuburit time. Hopefully, fasting in this month of Ramadan we are all given smoothness even though it's a little different from usual. And hopefully, cool programs from Kapan Lagi will continue to exist to entertain all of us," he concluded.

3. Nicky Tirta Invites Cooking Unique Menus that Suit the Indonesian Taste

At 16.20, it's chef Nicky Tirta's turn to greet from his house. He is ready in his workspace, which is his kitchen at home, to invite KLovers to prepare iftar menus. Nicky will demonstrate how to cook Bakwan UFO. This menu is KLovers' choice from a voting that took place some time ago. In addition, Nicky considers this menu suitable for Indonesian people and does not require a long cooking time.

"Simple menu, can be used as takjil, can be practiced at home right away. Indonesian people are closely associated with fried food. The ingredients are tofu, eggs, carrots, bean sprouts, flour, and scallions.

Nicky tries to create unique menus and always refers to the taste of Indonesian people. That's why he often creates fusion menus, which are a combination of international dishes with Indonesian flavors.

"You can even make mac and cheese from instant noodles. Mix it with cheese and smoked beef. I once made Betawi fettuccine, similar to Betawi soup, thick but without noodles. Or combine aglio olio with sambel matah. Fusion can make it taste very Indonesian," he explained.

4. Enjoy Breaking the Fast while Chatting with Luna Maya and Revalina S Temat

As the closing act of the event, Luna Maya and Revalina S Temat appeared in a digital meet & greet via the Zoom application. For KLovers who have registered and received invitations, they can join to chat together on the Zoom application. Meanwhile, those who haven't registered can follow the live streaming on vidio.com

This digital iftar experience is the first time for both of them. Luna admitted that she had eaten together while chatting digitally, but through IG live. This is the first time she has experienced a crowded online iftar like this. "I've done it before, but not like this. Just Insta Live. But this is really a gathering for everyone. It's like a new experience," Luna said.

When the call to prayer sounded, Luna and Reva expressed their gratitude and invited everyone who participated in the meet and greet to break their fast immediately. The conversation continued while everyone enjoyed their iftar menu. Light topics such as favorite iftar menus and current issues like how Luna and Reva face the pandemic became interesting discussions. One of the KLovers even asked about Luna and Reva's thoughts on dealing with mistakes, failures, and disappointments. It's really deep, right?

Luna expressed her gratitude for being invited as a guest on the KapanLagi Buka Bareng event, "Thank you so much for inviting me, it was fun. Hopefully, we can break our fast together again."

The same sentiment was also shared by Revalina S Temat. Although she is used to interacting online during the current pandemic, KapanLagi Buka Bareng remains a new and exciting experience for her.

"Thank you, this is an extraordinary first experience. Meeting many people from different cities." It feels close. Thank you," concluded Reva.
