As reported by Detik.com, Putri revealed that she met the maestro when he was singing in front of the boarding house she lived in. At that time, Putri worked as a laborer in a shoe factory in Jakarta while Didi was a street singer.

"I used to live in the Daan Mogot area and I first met Mr. (Didi Kempot) when he was singing in my boarding house," said Putri to Detik, on Friday (8/5).

1. Love Begins with Small Change

Like any other residents of the house, when Didi was busking, Putri also gave him small change. It turns out that love grew in their hearts from this money.

"I used to work as a factory worker producing famous shoes in Jakarta. He was busking in my boarding house. I still remember I gave him Rp 100, I still remember it very well," she reminisced.

2. Married in a Limited Condition

Didi's meeting with Putri from in front of the boarding house continued until their marriage. In 1994, they decided to get married even though the conditions were very limited at that time.

"We got married in 1994, it was also simple and only invited busker friends. After getting married, we looked for a rental house not far from my boarding house. Our struggle was extraordinary. Every day, my husband was busking and I worked in the garment factory," Putri recalled while crying.

This couple got married at the Office of Religious Affairs and did not invite many people to their event. Only the buskers became witnesses to their love, united by religion and country.

3. Princess's Prayer Strengthens Didi

Didi's life with Princess did not instantly improve after getting married. They struggled together for years until Didi finally achieved success.

To a friend, Didi mentioned that he could remain strong until the end because of Princess's prayers. Didi never forgets the difficult times when he was a street musician accompanied by Princess.
