First Time Acting in a Film, Dul Jaelani Cried Playing the Main Character

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Dul Jaelani has just finished his latest film titled DEAR IMAMKU. A film adapted from a novel by writer Mellyana with the same title. In this film, Dul plays a young man named Haris.

"There is a title, an adaptation from Mellyana's novel titled DEAR IMAMKU, and then it became a film DEAR IMAMKU," said Dul Jaelani in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Saturday (10/4/2021).

1. Dul's Debut Work

Being the main character in the film is not easy for Tissa Biani's boyfriend. Moreover, this is Dul's debut in the acting world.

"Well, Alhamdulillah, I got the main role, so I play Haris. So the activity is understanding the dialogue tags, understanding the dialogue tags, so there is no time for breaks, no time to play with my phone, there are breaks (but not many)," he said.

2. Crying on the Shooting Location

Because it was so difficult to portray the character of Haris, Dul admitted that he cried on the shooting location. Fortunately, Tissa Biani, Dul Jaelani's girlfriend, always tried to calm him down.

"I faced difficulties to the point of crying. Fortunately, Tissa was there, luckily my first film was accompanied by my girlfriend, so my stress was reduced a little because Tissa always calmed me down," Dul Jaelani concluded.
