Markus Horison, whose full name is Markus Haris Maulana, was born in Pangkalan Brandan, North Sumatra on March 14, 1981. He began his football career by joining the PSL Langkat club.

Throughout his career, Markus Horison has played for a number of top clubs in the country, such as Arema Indonesia, Persib Bandung, PSMS Medan, and PSM Makassar.

From 2007 to 2012, Markus Horison was entrusted to strengthen the Indonesian National Team as a goalkeeper. His actions on the green field garnered a lot of attention from the public at that time.

In 2010, Markus Horison ended his bachelorhood by marrying Kiki Amalia. Unfortunately, the marriage only lasted for 3 years, as they decided to divorce in 2013.

4 years later, Markus Horison remarried Bylqis Juwita Ningsih, and from this marriage, they were blessed with four children.

Markus decided to retire from football in 2018. He now resides in Bandung and is currently a goalkeeper coach for the U-16 National Team.
