As revealed on Irfan Hakim's YouTube channel, before becoming a host, Ruben used to be a cleaning service.
During his time as a cleaning service, he was known to be diligent and quick in completing his tasks.
Unlike his current self, Ruben used to be assigned to clean hotel ballrooms, parking lots, and even toilets.
"Yes. Not just toilets, parking lots. We would wash, mop, scrub. In the hotel, I was in charge of the main ballroom. The more horrifying part was that we were alone. For example, in the parking lot, there could be 250 cars, so we had to clean all the nooks and crannies, make sure they were clean," he said.
Far from his previous job before entering the entertainment industry, Ruben is now known as one of the highest-paid hosts.
Quoted from Kompas in 2020, his income at that time was mentioned to reach Rp150 million, of course, not including other sources of income.
Being so wealthy, he admitted to forgetting about having a sum of money worth hundreds of millions until the bank reminded Ruben.
