From a Simple Family, the Story of Alif Cepmek 'Dilan KW' From the Beginning of Building a Career to Becoming Famous - Always Remember the Parents' Message

"The economy is going well. If it used to be simple, now it's sufficient. Now I can buy the things I want. I can buy a motorcycle, buy a bike for my sibling. And I can also give money to my parents. Actually, I can buy a car, but I'm just saving the money for now," said Alif in Cikarang, Wednesday (25/1/2023).

Still echoing in the memory of a teenager born in Jakarta, January 20, 2004, when he first created content on the Tik Tok application. At that time, he lacked confidence and only followed others by creating dance content.

"At first (creating content) I wasn't confident, but then the viewers increased. So I became more enthusiastic in uploading, and I searched for different ideas from others, to make it more viral. (The first content) was dancing in 2018 while wearing braces. After that, people started commenting that I looked like Raffi Ahmad. Then I searched for ideas to follow anime characters. Then I followed the style and voice of Dilan," he said.

His name became more recognized after creating content with the phrase 'You ask, you wonder'. He didn't expect that the content would go viral and that many people would follow his words.

"I didn't expect people to become addicted. Even when I ask something to someone, they answer like that," said Alif.

Since that action, Alif has been flooded with endorsements and often asked to be a guest star on television. He is now known as Alif Cepmek. It is not uncommon for people to also call him Dilan KW because he often parodies the character Dilan from the movie DILAN 1990.

"The reason I was called Alif Cepmek is because someone asked me when I shaved my hair, and I said this is the name of the haircut, Cepmek, Cepak Mekar," said this native Betawi teenager.

Not satisfied with what he was doing, Alif spread his wings by becoming a singer. He released his debut single titled "Cepat Mencintai Kamu" at the end of 2022.

Alif also admitted that he would not waste the opportunity if there was an offer to play in a soap opera or film. "There is already someone who invited me. But I haven't taken it yet because it's just an invitation for a film casting," he said.

Now that he is popular and has a lot of money, he will try to remember his parents' message to always be humble. "My parents advised me to always remain humble," he added.
