Fulfilling Indro Warkop's Request to Change the Name, Here's the New Name for Warkopi

Kapanlagi.com - The Warkopi or Warkop DKI KW comedy trio has officially disbanded on October 13, 2021. Disbanding in the sense that they will no longer use the Warkop DKI name, but they will change their name in the future.

However, according to Patria TV spokesperson, Aly Julys, they are still confused about changing the name of the comedy group. Not only that, the former Warkopi's brand image is also still being discussed.

"For now, we are still confused, so we still want to discuss the name," said Patria TV spokesperson, Aly Julys when met in Sawangan, Depok, West Java, on Wednesday (13/10) afternoon.

"And the brand image, how should it be. So now our focus is for them to use their personal names first, but there may be a new name in the future," he continued.

Meanwhile, there is also news that the trio consisting of Alfin, Dimas, and Asep plans to use the name Taciman as a replacement for Warkopi. However, apparently, that is Dimas' idea that has not officially emerged, but just a casual remark.

"To clarify, actually Taciman is my own idea, like when people asked what the new name would be. So I just casually mentioned Taciman, Taciman is an abbreviation for Tasik Cipadu Matraman, the places where we live, but officially not for us, just a random idea," said Dimas.

In addition, Alfin also added that he and his two friends do not want to bother leaving the name Warkopi. Aly Julys also added that let this be a learning experience so that the career path of Alfin, Dimas, and Asep can go smoothly in the future.

"If you ask if we feel regret, well, from the beginning we just let things go without any setting or specific goals, so there's no regret. The main point is that we don't want to create a fuss here," said Alfin.

"We don't want to be seen as troublemakers, even though we really want to contribute to Indonesian comedy. Maybe with the presence of Warkop DKI and others, it becomes a good lesson for us and for our friends out there," added Aly Julys.
