Gail Formerly Yovie & Nuno Supports Child Becoming a Singer

Kapanlagi.com - The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, that saying applies to singer Cilli in Sicily. The daughter of former vocalist Yovie & Nuno, Gail Satyawaki, follows in her father's footsteps as a singer.

Cilli officially released her debut single titled I'll be Allright, not long ago. The urban contemporary pop vibes are clearly felt in every note sung by Cilli in her debut single. The choice of words and melodies done by the 13-year-old girl herself aims to bring a unique color to the music of the homeland.

"This song tells the story of my friend who finally had to leave school and also leave the city with me," said Cilli in Sicily in the official release of the song Be Alright, on Friday (16/7/2021).

1. Creating Artwork

During the pandemic, a Sundanese girl who happened to still be in school was assigned to create an artwork in groups, and in the end, their single titled I'll Be Allright was created.

"At the beginning of the pandemic, it was really difficult to complete group assignments because of limited time, and it was also difficult to meet with my groupmates, so I decided to take over the task and do it myself," she said.

"I participated in the virtual music concert 'Teman Baru' at the beginning of 2021, that was the first time I met Kataoila Talent Management, and eventually, I decided to join the 'What in Where' movement initiated by 76 Rider," she continued.

2. Provide Musical Motivation

Seeing her daughter's talent and passion, Gail Satyawaki always provides musical motivation. She sees her daughter as a talented singer.

"When I introduced her to various fields over the years, it turned out that she was interested in and enjoyed singing. At first, we just sang together, joking around, and then uploaded it to YouTube," she recalled.

"But it turned out that she became more serious, and the peak was when she started writing her own lyrics and songs. I saw her talent there, so I support her as much as I can," she added.

3. More Focus in Music

From there, Gail started maintaining and directing Cilli to be more focused and directed in music. She always accompanies vocal practice or sound exercises at all times. In fact, she suggests practicing covering songs for reference and uploading them on her personal YouTube.

With the release of Cilli in Sicily's debut single titled I'll be Allright together with Seven Octave Music Production, Gail Satyawaki hopes that her daughter's song will be accepted by music lovers throughout the country.

"Hopefully, this work of hers can be an inspiration and a source of happiness for the listeners, and through music, she can grow into a better person," hopes Gail Satyawaki, Cilli in Sicily's father.
