Melanie decided to move to Jakarta in 2018 after graduating from high school to pursue her dreams. After a year of trying to cast in various production houses, Melanie said that she often experienced failure and rejection. However, she remained persistent and continued to hone her acting skills until finally getting the opportunity to play in a teenage FTV in 2018.

Some FTVs that Melanie has starred in are Cewek Tukang Kayu Ketemu Jodoh Which Is Anak Juragan Mebel and Cintaku Terhalang Jarak. Melanie has also starred in several feature films such as SIN (2019), Rumput Tetangga (2019), and 4 Mantan (2020).

During the Covid-19 pandemic where millions of workers were laid off, Melanie dared to seek business opportunities by opening a culinary business called Reddog. Her interest in the culinary world began from her hobby of trying various foods during vacations both domestically and abroad.

"I chose a franchise or a business opportunity because the culinary world is new to me. I want to deepen my knowledge first and learn how to operate it," said Melanie.

2. Expanding Business Wings

Initially, this woman who had a hobby of traveling opened 3 Reddog outlets located in Mall Kelapa Gading, Lippo Mall Kemang, and AEON Mall Sentul City. However, after seeing the enthusiasm of customers in Jakarta, she decided to expand her wings to Surabaya. There, Melanie opened 2 Reddog outlets located in Tunjungan Plaza and Royal Plaza.

Seeing the success of both outlets, Melanie and the Reddog team developed Reddog's first café concept at Pakuwon Mall and Pakuwon City Mall in Surabaya.

Starting a business from scratch is not an easy thing. At the age of 22, this woman humbly said that all of this could be realized because of prayer and perseverance to continue learning and learning, as well as support from her family and close friends.

After participating in the Puteri Indonesia 2022 event, Melanie will now focus again on her culinary business. However, she also mentioned that she is not closing the possibility of returning to the entertainment world if the situation supports it.
