Giring Ganesha Reveals He is Ready to Work Without Days Off, Sees WA Messages from Major Teddy More Often than His Wife

Kapanlagi.com - Giring Ganesha, former vocalist of Nidji who now serves as Deputy Minister of Culture, realizes that his new responsibilities are not easy. He admits he is ready to work hard, even on holidays, to fulfill the mandate entrusted to him.

"It's not easy, it will definitely require much more hard work. Because once you are in the cabinet, there are no days off anymore," said Giring Ganesha at the Ministry of Education and Culture building in Jakarta, Tuesday (22/10/2024).

In the midst of his busy schedule, Giring jokingly mentioned how this new role has changed his routine. He admits that he now pays more attention to messages from Teddy Indra Wijaya or Major Teddy, the Cabinet Secretary, than messages from his wife, Cynthia Riza.

"So now (WA) I look at Mas Teddy's messages more often than my wife's, right," said Giring.

Giring also shared a story about how he always has to be on standby, especially while waiting for the announcement from President Prabowo about the new cabinet lineup. He admitted he was surprised when he received a message from Teddy Indra indicating that his name was included in the Merah Putih Cabinet.

"So I have to be on standby all the time. Like yesterday, you know, whenever there’s a WhatsApp from Mas Teddy, I always jump out of bed," said Giring.

Although he will be busy with his responsibilities as Deputy Minister, Giring still tries to balance his time for his family. He is grateful that his residence is not too far from his office, allowing him to spend time with his children.

"I can take 30 minutes, so I can later invite the kids for lunch together," he said.

2. Dreams for the Nation

In Giring's view, although his new role is full of challenges, it is one of his dreams. He feels that being part of the cabinet is a great opportunity to make a real contribution to the nation.

"Becoming a deputy minister or joining the cabinet is also one of my dreams," he said.

Not only about personal dreams, for Giring what is most important right now is how he can make a positive impact for Indonesia.

"So hopefully this will be something big. The most important thing is what I can do for the Indonesian nation," concluded Giring Ganesha.
