Marshanda is no longer young. In 2024, this mother of Sienna will be 35 years old. Therefore, some netizens and her peers suggested that she undergo plastic surgery. During an interview with Robby Purba in a podcast, Marshanda admitted that many people already know she will reject plastic surgery to look youthful.
"Not really, it seems like people already know I will reject (plastic surgery). I’m sure they know, Caca won’t want to," said Marshanda while laughing.
Marshanda has indeed been known to often campaign for the self-love movement. However, there was one of her friends who offered plastic surgery for her eyes.
"Because I often campaign about loving yourself, and yesterday I met a friend who said 'Ca, don’t you want to fix your eye bags? If you want, you can go to Turkey,'" said Marshanda.Â
Not immediately responding to the invitation, it turns out Marshanda needed a few days to make a decision. Indeed, Marshanda remained firm in her stance to reject plastic surgery and normalize her aging.
"After meeting, on the second and third day, I felt comfortable with my eyes. Even if something happens and I look older, I want to normalize that," she continued.
"One of my dreams as I grow older is to be someone who proves that you can age but still shine beautifully," she concluded.Â
Netizens stated that Marshanda's opinion represents those who are in lower-middle economic conditions and cannot afford plastic surgery. "She is indeed smart and represents us lower-middle-class moms so we don't feel insecure," wrote one netizen in the comments section.Â
