However, the photo eventually sparked controversy from various parties, and because of that, comedian and director Ernest Prakasa responded to the photo. According to him, what Tara Basro uploaded is in line with what is conveyed in the film IMPERFECT.

“Actually, that's the first message in the film IMPERFECT, which is about self-love and embracing oneself with all imperfections,” said Ernest Prakarsa when met at SCTV Tower, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (5/3).

1. Too Extreme?

Indeed, in the first photo uploaded by the actress with the full name Andi Mutiara Pertiwi Basro, Ernest considered it to be just ordinary. However, when the second pose was uploaded, this 38-year-old man admitted that the photo was a bit too extreme.

"I immediately thought that the second one was a bit too extreme, afraid that its essence would be overshadowed by the sensation," he said.

2. Supporting the Message Conveyed

In addition, with that upload, Ernest also conveyed a little message that even a famous artist can appear as they are. As for women's fears about body goals, at least they can be silenced by Tara Basro through the pose in the photo.

"But, I really support the first photo because it provides a kind of antithesis when people see on Instagram that everyone wants to be body goals, it turns out that even top artists feel 'yes, love yourself as you are' to balance. Actually, it's the exact same message discussed in my movie," said Ernest Prakasa.

Ernest also appreciates what Tara Basro has done. Because for him, it takes more courage to do that.
