Bertrand himself revealed the news through a post on his Instagram account. The deceased passed away at the age of 70, allegedly due to being exposed to covid-19. Bertrand also described what his godmother was like during her lifetime.

"She has returned into the loving hands of our Lord Jesus, our mother, my godmother, Mama Deetje Meuthia Zuraida Ulfa October 11, 1951 - March 29, 2021. Everyone in Gading Mas Kelapa Gading must know my mother. Thank you for being a mother in faith, in goodness, always teaching us patience and obliging us, her children, to always help others. Teaching us that it is better to serve than to be served," Bertrand said in the caption of his post.

In her final moments, the deceased was treated at Hermina Kemayoran General Hospital. Bertrand would like to express his gratitude to all parties who have been taking care of and trying their best to heal his godmother.

"Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at @rsuherminakemayoran hospital who have been taking care of my mom. Thank you for being an amazing godmother and always fasting for Bertrand's birthday every year and praying for Bertrand in every prayer, mom. Love you, mom," Bertrand continued.

Meanwhile, in his IG Story post, Bertrand once again reminded the public that the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing. Therefore, he requested the public not to underestimate it and to continue to prioritize their safety.

"For those who still don't believe in corona, still refuse to wear masks, please don't be ignorant. From the moment my godmother entered the hospital until she was buried, our family couldn't be there. We couldn't choose where she would be buried," wrote the soap opera star Apa Artinya Cinta.
